Apple releases the OS X Yosemite

Apple has just unveiled their new operating system. It seems that the famous tech company decided to name this OS after a popular camping spot in California, Yosemite.

With a huge focus on its PC and mobile operating system, Apple has released on Monday this newest version of the Mac OS X, named Yosemite, at the Worldwide Developers Conferences held in San Francisco.

OS X Yosemite comes with a fresh new look, new notification center, a refined toolbar and even a dark mode. Now, OS will synchronize with iOS mobile system through iMessage messaging,

AirDrop file sharing and it will even have ability to make or take phone calls. Craig Federighi, the senior vice president of software engineering for Apple said that "all in all, they come together for a gorgeous and more usable version of OS X, the best ever."

He also made a joke, showing how the new operating system works, by calling Dr. Dre, the new Apple employee after a 3 billion dollars deal for Beats Electronics and Beats Music streaming service.

During the presentation, Craig Federighi gave a short overview of the system’s features, including the new iCloud, Calendar, Stocks, Weather, Reminders, and Spotlight, which now appear in the center of the desktop, offering users new categories of results.

So, this means that Apple customers will get more suggestions from Maps, Wikipedia, App Store, Bing, iBooks Store, iTunes Store, important websites, but also movie showtimes or news.

Federighi declared that “Yosemite is the future of OS X with its incredible new design and amazing new apps, all engineered to work beautifully with iOS.”

“We engineer our platforms, services and devices together, so we are able to create a seamless experience for our users across all our products that is unparalleled in the industry. It’s something only Apple can deliver,” he concluded.

The iPhone maker is also designing Mac, probably the best personal computer in the world, along with iWork, iLife and OS X. The new operating system, OS X Yosemite, is available to Mac Developer Program members starting with this week.

It is yet to see how it will be received by Apple customers.
