Apple Launches its new iPhone 6S, an update to iPhone 6

The new Apple iPhones are finally here and they have already gained a lot of attention. The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were release approximately two weeks ago in San Francisco.

At this event, Apple also unveiled the iPad Pro, a supersized Apple tablet, and an updated Apple TV. However, these other gadgets will not be released until October, respectively November. That’s why the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will take all the spotlight in the tech universe.

iPhone 6S new model different colors
As Apple has accustomed its fans every year, the “S” line looks the same as its predecessor. Well, at least so it seems until the user starts checking out the new device and opens the screen. The changes that are hiding in the new 6S and 6S Plus are plentiful.

For starters, the front and rear cameras got updated, such as the processors and RAMs. Probably, the most important update is the new pressure-sensitive “3D Touch” screen, which is similar to the Force Touch screen met on the Apple Watch. This feature will give users contextual options depending how hard they will touch on the display.

As for design, the new iPhone 6S looks the same as the 2014 model. Well, this is not a huge surprise and if users will put the last year's model and the new model side by side, they will nearly not know which one is the “S” model.

Probably, the best thing to recognize them is by weight, because the “S” model weighs approximately 11 percent more, due to the new screen technology used in its manufacturing process.

However, the company declared that even if the two models look almost the same, the new 6S model achieved inner strength due to the different grade of aluminum that was used for its chassis. This material is called Series 7,000 and it was also used into the Apple Watch Sport.

As it was already mentioned, Apple has included a new feature into the iPhone 6S, called 3D Touch. This feature will adopt the same pressure-sensitive met on the Apple Watch and it will be used as secondary menu when users will press and hold the screen.

For example, when users will press down, they will pull up context-sensitive menus, examine photos or switch apps. The feature might be considered quite useful by users.
