Apple unveils the new iPod Touch 2015

Well, it looks like these days, Apple has unveiled another release, the newest iPod Touch 2015. This release was made on a more silent mode, without official announcements, events or any other actions.

With the new iPod Touch, Apple has made some changes when it comes to the interior hardware, meaning that it has a faster processor and a better camera compared with the previous iPod Touch, released in 2012. However, this device also has other upgraded specs that will turn the new iPod into a more competitive handset on a market that is dominated by iPads.

The new Apple iPod Touch is able to play the latest games, download the latest apps and with the upgraded camera, it can also take better snapshots. To be added that this device is available at the price of 199 dollars for the 16GB version. As already known, the iPod Touch is recognized as "the iPhone without the phone," being more affordable compared with the real iPhone, which costs more than 400 dollars.

Apple's iPod Touch 2015 comes with a 4-inch screen, but it lacks interesting features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, GPS and touch-to-pay Apple Pay functionality. Probably, this device would have been more interesting if it would have been released with a bigger screen. Another disappointing fact is that the iPad Touch has a poor battery life, which is shorter than of the previous 2012 model.

However, customers who already own an older iPhone Touch, will have some serious reasons to upgrade to the newest iPod Touch 2015. The 4-inch screen has a 1136x640-pixel resolution, which offers attractive images and a crisp text at a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch.

Moreover, this device comes with Apple’s M8 motion coprocessor and the 64-bit A8 chip. This means that users will have the opportunity to use the motion tracker and Apple’s Health app. With 3.1 ounces, runners will probably be delighted to use this device as a motion tracker, even it misses features like GPS connectivity for apps like Runtastic and Runkeeper.

Well, we are about to see how successful this device will turn out to be on a market where smartphones and tablets are dominating.
