Apple Willing to make Design Changes in iPhone 7

The latest iPhone models, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, have practically just been released, but rumors on what the next generation model will feature have already surfaced.

So, when it comes to iPhone 7, Apple is expected to make a big design change. Allegedly, this could even mean totally removing the home button.

A report published by Barrons claimed that there are great chances that Apple will remove the home button.

iPhone 7 Concept Design
After all, Apple needs to come with new changes on its upcoming model, so such a hypothesis is not curious at all. Apple has always tried to bring some small changes in the design of its device and this particular one could make the iPhone 7 quite interesting.

The prediction was actually made by analyst Gene Munster. Munster predicted that the chances for this change to be implemented are at about 50%.

"As many have speculated, the addition of 3D Touch may provide Apple with a way to eliminate the home button on the phone and use the additional space to make the screen bigger or make the device smaller," Munster said in a recent note.

Well, the truth is that there are 50% chances for such a change to be implemented. On one hand, eliminating the home button could mean that Apple will be able to increase the size of its device's screen with no need to change the actual size of the device.

However, eliminating this home button might seem hard to believe, given that Apple has introduced the Touch ID, which actually resides on the home button. This feature allows users to unlock their device and authenticate purchases with Apple Pay.

However, Apple might move the Touch ID sensor to another location on the phone and still eliminate the home button.
Another area on which we believe Apple may focus is battery life," Munster said.
Looking at Macs over the past few years, Apple has close to doubled battery life for its Macbook line up (largely 5 hour battery to ~10 hours)," he added.

The analyst explained that battery life needs improvements and this is one of the biggest areas in which customers actually wait such additions from Apple.

Previous predictions indicated that the iPhone 7 will actually be one of the thinnest devices that Apple has ever released. Of course, the device is expected to be launched in 2017, so until then, fans will just have to wait and see what the famous company will prepare next.
