Mark Zuckerberg Reveals Facebook's Idea for the Future

Mark Zuckerberg made an appearance at the mobile's industry's annual conference and it seems that the popular CEO of Facebook wanted to reveal the social network's idea of the future. And naturally, the future is connected to virtual reality.

So, Zuckerberg claimed that the future will be one in which people can connect with friends over virtual reality and a super-fast network, 5G. Furthermore, Facebook dreams that this will be available everywhere, including places such as India.

During an interview at the Mobile World Congress, Mark once again talked about faster Internet access, which has the potential of connecting over 4 billion people who currently lack such access.

"One of the things that I’ve heard at MWC so far this year that I think personally has been a little bit disappointing is this idea that (current) 4G (networks were) about getting people a good experience and 5G is about connecting things," the popular Facebook CEO said.

Once again, Mark stressed out the importance of making the Internet available to people from all over the world, saying that faster connections should not only be used by "rich people." Facebook's interest in offering Internet access is not actually new.

The social network is known to have created the Free Basics, which is a service that aims to offer free, although limited, Internet access.

However, things are not looking that well for Facebook linked to this, as the service suffered a setback in India due to some regulatory rulings. The service has also become available in 38 other countries.

Well, when it comes to Mark's opinion about the situation in India, the CEO of Facebook had a very short answer.
What we've learned is that every country of different," he said. He added that "Facebook isn't a company that hits a roadblock and gives up." "We take the hits and try to get better."

Mark Zuckerberg also explained that the interest when it comes to online has slightly moved from text to video and this is one of the reasons why people need faster connections.
Ten or 15 years ago, most of what we shared and consumed online was text. And now it’s really becoming video," he said.
That’s not the end of the line, there’s always a more immersive way to share and experience the moments in your life. What I think what we’re going to get to next, and I think this will happen sooner than you think, is the ability to share whole scenes," Zuckerberg added.

Well, Mark might be right, as he claimed that nowadays over a million people watch videos on Facebook every day. During his interview at the Mobile World Congress, Mark also clarified that he is not yet sure how he will feel when his baby daughter will use the Internet for the first time.
I have some time to figure that out," he joked.

Furthermore, Mark Zuckerberg made it clear that he supports Apple in its battle with the FBI. "We're sympathetic with Apple on this one," Mark said. "I expect it's not the right thing to try to block that from the mainstream products people want to use. And I think it's not going to be the right regulatory or economic policy to put in place."
