The New Yamaha YSP-5600: TV Sound to The Next Level

Yamaha YSP-5600

Yamaha has released its new YSP-5600, a speaker that is perfect for any TV setup. This new speaker isalso the first attempt to provide DTS:X and Atmos in the beautiful shape of a sound bar.

Yamaha is a well-known manufacturer that provides impressive speaker and AV receivers. Its new speaker delivers a huge sound for both movies and music. This is a really impressive thing and it will definitely have a huge success on the market.

An interesting thing about this new speaker is that it is able to create a 3D bubble of sound between the TV and users. This feature cannot be provided by a standard bar. However, Yamaha YSP-5600, don’t have the power to place sound objects behind or above users, but it is a decent and good sound bar.

The new Yamaha YSP-5600 is available at the price of 1,699 dollars. This price will definitely place the unit in a whole new territory, because with the purpose to get the maximum benefit from this speaker, customers need to spend even more money on a subwoofer.

But, even if it doesn't come with a subwoofer, the new Yamaha YSP-5600 sounds really good and offers an incredible sound experience.

Being the first Atmos sound bar, Yamaha YSP-5600 has the power to fill the entire room with sound and customers who are willing to spend the sum of 1,699 dollars will not be disappointed.

As for design, the new Yamaha YSP-5600 is slightly different compared with other sound bars already existing on the market. For customers who are used to sound bars that have an inch or two in height, Yamaha YSP-5600 can be a shock. Why? Because this sound bar is 8 inches high and 3.5 inches thin.

So, this sound band is taller than most center-channel speakers on the market. To be added that Yamaha’s device doesn’t come with rubber stoppers positioned on the bottom, especially because it is designed to be mounted on the wall.

To be added that this speaker is finished in metallic black, while the front has a wire mesh screen protecting the drivers. Moreover, behind the mesh it is a blue LED display, while on the top of the unit users will find a few control buttons. In the end, at the bottom of the sound bar, it is positioned a 3.5mm jack for connecting the included microphone. As for the remote, it is a welcome addition, especially for those who are sitting comfortable on their coach.

So, the remote is decently ergonomic, homing all the functions that users need to. It is not a backlit remote, but this is less important because it does its job perfectly.

Yamaha YSP-5600 features an onscreen display, which is a good thing to know. Unfortunately, this feature is not very modern and it gives the feeling that is ripped straight out of the ‘90s, because of its monochromatic text. As we previously mentioned, the new Yamaha YSP-5600 is considered to be the first Atmos and DtS:X compatible sound bar, offering an incredible and clear sound.
