Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, part tablet, part laptop

As we know, the Dell XPS 13 model is one of the best good-looking laptops on the market. Dell has decided to go further with this model, adding a 360-degree hinge.

This way, the new Dell XPS 13 model becomes a 2-in-1 hybrid. With the new 360-degree hinge, people will be able to fold back the screen or transform it into a tablet.
Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 hands-on: Thinner lighter, better

The new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is also thinner and lighter than the traditional model.

Another good thing about this new device is that the company managed to keep the entry price just under the 1.000 dollars limit, which is considered to be a price mark for many manufacturers.

The original XPS 13 model was first released in 2015 and it delivers an incredible design, stretching the laptop display from one edge of the lid to the other.

With the original XPS 13 model, the company managed to reduce the bezel to a bare minimum, which is incredible.

But, the new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is also a good-looking device that promises to be a huge hit on the market. This model is probably considered a main competitor for the Microsoft Surface Pro.

But, we must mention that Dell’s model is more like a full-time laptop, while Microsoft’s device is considered a full-time tablet.

Why?

Because, the Microsoft Surface Pro comes with an optional snap-on keyboard, while the new Dell has it permanently attached.

Del’s XPS 13 2-in-1 doesn’t deliver many surprises, but it’s a faithful rendition of the company’s beloved premium laptop with convertible features. Check the Engadget Score full Review here

Dell XPS 13 The revolutionary InfinityEdge display is now available for the first time on a 2-in-1

The overall design of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is close to the platonic ideal of a modern laptop. This new device is slim, it doesn’t have huge waste space on its compact body, and it has some interesting features that help it stand out.

Some of the most interesting features are the Thunderbolt-enabled USB-C ports, a fingerprint reader, the great edge-to-edge display, and a dual-lens IR webcam. It is important for customers to know that the fingerprint reader works for Windows Hello login.

Unfortunately, the support for facial recognition login from the camera is coming via a future software update.

Compared with the traditional XPS 13 model, we must say that this model is thinner and doesn’t have the wedge shape that made the original model a bit bulky. However, customers should know that this model has an excellent keyboard and large touch pad.

As we mentioned earlier, this model starts at the price of 999 dollars, but it can also go up to 1.299 dollars.

Furthermore, this new model also comes with same sacrifices. For example, the most interesting sacrifice is swapping a standard Intel Core i3 or i5 U-series CPU for a lower-power Y-series one.

Is there a difference?

Well, of course. The Core M and Core i-Y CPUs has never been as performance-oriented as even the low voltage Core i5 and i7 U-series chips met on some of the most known slim laptops on the market. In the end, we must say that battery life is close to the MacBook territory.

This means that it runs for an amazing 8 hours and 56 minutes on streaming video playback.
