New Razer Blade Gaming Laptop Review: VR Ready Faster Than Ever

Razer is coming with a new Blade model. This new laptop comes with a sensible display and an amazing power under the hood.

Over the past few years, this company has released some incredible Blade models. This lineup has become an increasingly common sight among PC gamers.

The new Razer Blade has an amazing slick, matte-black look and all the newest components that gamers need for a good gaming experience.

The new 14” Razer Blade strikes the perfect balance between power and portability

Just like many other laptop makers on the market, Razer added Intel’s 7th-gen with a Core i7-7700HQ, accompanied by 16GB of RAM, and an incredible GTX 1060 with 6GB of GDDR5. Of course, we also know that all this power doesn’t come cheap. The new Razer Blade is available at the price of 1.900 dollars.

We must say that this new model has some stiffer competition this year.

The new Razer Blade will have a huge battle with MSI’s GS63VR, a system that is slightly thinner, and homes similar components.

MSI’s laptop is available at the price of 1.500 dollars. We also must mention Apple’s recently released MacBook Pro 15, which is also a competitor for the newest Razer Blade.

But, Apple can be considered a competition for Razer Blade by those who prefer the Blade more for mobile productivity than gaming. So, the question is if this year’s Razer Blade is able to provide a better value than its predecessors?

Best Razer Blade Gaming Laptop - ultimate gaming experience

We are happy to see that gone are the days when gaming laptops were bulky and didn't fit in the largest backpack sleeves. The new Razer Blade is a sleek laptop that probably took its inspiration from Apple’s famous MacBook line.

At first sight, we see that the new Razer Blade comes with a matte black finish that feels great. Unfortunately, this material also attracts fingerprints and smudges, but this isn’t a huge inconvenience. Luckily for customers, this material also causes those fingerprints to fade within a few minutes.

Underneath this shell there is an aluminum body that isn’t too heavy. But, we must say that the body is really sturdy and customers should not worry about throwing this laptop into a backpack.

Moreover, the edges are very solid and don’t have panel gaps or other things that compromise its design. Another good thing about the new Razer Blade is that it comes with enough ports. This laptop has a large number of ports without including anything unnecessary.

So, on the left side, people will find a small power port, and a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm in/out. Around the right side, there is another USB 3.0 port, a Thunderbolt 3 port, which represents a huge surprise, and a HDMI port.

The Thunderbolt 3 port can be used with Razer’s Core external graphics doc, along with a large number of other peripherals.

In the end, let’s mention that the company currently offers two different panels for this new laptop model. We are taking about a unit that comes with a 1.920 x 1.080 semi-matte IPS panel, and one that scores a 3.200 x 1.800 glossy IGZO.
