Aura Home Security Comes With Wireless Technology To Detect Motion

Customers will be able to buy the new Aura Home at the price of 499 dollars. At this price, they will receive a few useful devices for home security.

We must say that this new system takes a few different approaches to home security. This means that the new Aura Home comes with a wireless technology to detect motion.

As we know, traditional home security systems offer cameras and passive infrared heat detectors to show who is walking around people’s houses.

So, Aura Home consists of a hub and sensor, which are going to be placed at the opposite ends of the home.

This position will form an oval pattern of wireless signals. To be added that when someone will walk through this area, the pattern changes and generates a motion alert.

Another great thing about this system is that it uses geofencing to arm and disarm itself based on users’ location.

To be added that the new Aura Home also works with other smart devices thanks to IFTTT (If This Then That) recipes. So, this new technology sounds really good, but the bad thing is that the new Aura Home is very expensive.

As we mentioned, customers will have to pay 499 dollars in order to buy this home security package. Moreover, this system also has a few downsides.

We are talking about the fact that it has limited coverage, there are just a few features that people will receive, and it lacks expandability. So, as we mentioned, the new Aura Home consists of a hub and a sensor. As for design, this device comes with a decent, average look.

The hub is a white, cube-shaped unite that measures 5.0 x 4.2 x 4.2 inches. At this unit, customers will find a LAN port, a USB-C port situated on the rear panel, and a USB 3.0 port. Moreover, these ports are accompanied by a power jack and a WPS button.

Moving forward, we must say that on the front panel, customers will see a small LED indicator that flashes orange when the firmware is updated, flashes purple during setup, and green when connected to the internet. Customers should also know that there is a speaker grill that is used for the built-in 73dB siren.

As for the sensor unit, customers should know that they have to directly plug it into a wall outlet. This sensor is similar with the hub unit, which means that it comes with the same white color and has the same LED indicator.

Moreover, this device measures 3.6 x 2.0 x 1.6 inches and comes with two-prong plugs. To be added that at this moment, customers would not be able to buy additional sensors. But, the company has declared that it has plans to put additional sensors on sale for large homes.

Another great thing about this system is that both hub and sensor unites come with built-in rechargeable batteries.

As we mentioned, this unit transmits wireless signals, similar with Wi-Fi signals. So, when a person enters the zone, the signals are disrupted, which activates a motion alert and the siren goes on.
