Apple Rumored to be working on iOS-powered HDTVs for Late Fall Release

In the past few months, a series of rumors have been linked to Apple’s intention of releasing something new when it comes to its television market. Well, now a new rumor reveals that Apple is actually working on iOS powered HDTV, which may be out this fall.

A report by Daily Tech reveals that a former Apple executive claimed that the company is working at such an impressive device and plans on releasing it on the market sooner than what everyone expects. The comments were made under anonymity.

The source who talked with Daily Tech also claimed that Apple plans on blowing Netflix and “all those other guys away.” The way to do that: Apple is preparing to bundle Apple TV and iTunes inside a physical display. The same source added that Apple has already teamed up with a major supplier and the project will most likely be out in just a few months.

Even though the source revealed that this project will most probably be released sometime during this fall, the former executive added that there are great chances for it to be pushed to next year, naturally due to Apple’s high standards when it comes to the release of a new product. Moreover, if the product will be launched this fall, its impact may not be as big as predicted, as now Apple will most likely also release the next-generation iPhone.

The source who broke this news claimed that purchasing a perfect Apple TV from a retail store of the company will become simple. Some reports went even further and claimed that the new TV will even support third-party apps.

These rumors come in a context in which the Apple Smart TV has been debated for months and even years. Actually, Apple’s intention to develop something extraordinary on the TV market are not new at all. It has been claimed that the company has already started the development of this device, but until now it seems that the rumors were false, as Apple released nothing.

If the company prepares this big release for the fall or maybe for next year is something that still awaits for a confirmation. And despite many rumors, Apple has chosen to remain silent about its plans.
