Apple Changes Apple Music Policy Because of Taylor Swift

Apple is without a doubt the biggest company in the world. However, it seems that singer Taylor Swift was not afraid at all to take on the tech giant, over its newly released service, Apple Music.

What Taylor did was sending Apple a letter, in which she fully explained her reasons in not allowing her highly successful 1989 album in the new Apple Music service.

Apple's Music service does not come with some new, impressive features. This means that the service is not standing out compared with the services offered by competitors, such as Spotify.

Probably, this is one of the reasons why Apple decided to offer customers a free trial period of three months. However, during these three months, artists would not be paid for their music.

Taylor Swift sais no to Apple Music
Taylor was one of the people who did not like that, and so she sent her opinions to Apple.

Taylor Swift is one of the most successful artists at the moment, with millions of fans throughout the world.

This means that Apple could not afford losing the young singer.
Apple Music will not paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months.I find it to be shocking, disappointing and completely unlike the historically progressive and generous company," Taylor said.
However, Apple reacted immediately through the voice of its senior vice president for internet services, Eddy Cue.
Apple will always make sure that artist are paid," Cue shared on Twitter, explaining that as a result to Taylor's letter, the company changed its policy.
#AppleMusic will pay artist for streaming, even during customer's free trial period."
Well, analysts claimed that Apple's move was quite expected. For its service to be successful, the company does not only need customers, but it needs artists that people want to listen to.

However, analysts say that in this story the real loser was no one else than Spotify, which does not have the financial power or the brand that Apple has.

Apple can offer artists anything they ask, but Spotify cannot do the same. This made many claim that Spotify or Rdio will hardly survive now that the Apple Music is here.

The two companies might need to find a way to make profit, to be able to remain on the market.
