Apple Hires Tesla Engineers: Apple Car New Project

It seems that the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is not worried that Apple might be getting too close to his company's business, although he claimed that Apple is actually hiring the engineers that Tesla has been firing.

Musk talked about Apple's alleged plan of building an electric car during an interview with Handelsblatt, a German newspaper.

According to Musk, Apple has been hiring only the worst engineers that Tesla had. So, the CEO did not seem to be threatened by the fact that Apple was looking to employ these people.

They have hired people we've fired," Musk revealed. "We always jokingly call Apple the 'Tesla Graveyard.' If you don't make it at Tesla, you go work at Apple. I'm not kidding," he added.

Although Musk does not seem to have too nice things to say about Apple, the CEO of Tesla admitted that building a car would be the most obvious development for the tech giant.

He claimed that this would be "the next logical thing" for Apple to do, but Musk is not scared of Apple, saying that it does not represent a serious threat to Tesla or its business.

However, Musk does not seem to be a fan of Apple's first smartwatch, either.

"Did you ever take a look at the Apple Watch?" he said.
No, seriously: It's good that Apple is moving and investing in this direction. But cars are very complex compared to phones or smartwatches."

These statements are quite curious, having under consideration that Musk always had nice things to say about Apple.

Actually, earlier this year, Musk said that Apple entering the car market would be a great thing. Then, Musk revealed that Tesla employees had not left for Apple.

However, something seems to have changed. Some analysts seem to believe that people have really left Tesla to work for Apple and Musk feels that his company is threatened by the fact that Apple is hiring its employees. Furthermore, a car released by Apple could become a serious competitor to Tesla's vehicles.

Apple really has the financial power and the ability to develop a car and the famous company seems to be making its first steps in that direction.

Apple has been hiring engineers and robotics specialists in the past few months, although it revealed nothing about its plans. This made everyone believe that it was really working at the Apple Car.
