Apple Music's Free Trial Expired

Apple users who until now had the possibility to enjoy using this new service for free will no longer be able to access it without paying a subscription fee. This means that users will face the choice of deciding if they want to pay $9.99 a month to continue using the service, or they will cancel their subscription.

Users need to go to the Apple Music settings icon in order to unsubscribe from the service. How many users will do that and how many plan on still using the Apple Music service even after the free trial period has ended is something yet to be discovered.

A study conducted last month by Musicwatch indicated that many Apple device owners in the United States wanted to check out the Apple Music service. The study revealed at that time that about 11 percent of Apple mobile device owners were Apple Music users.

The results of the study were very interesting. It seems that almost the same number of people said that they were very likely to continue keeping the service and pay the monthly subscription, and that they have already turned off the auto-renewal option. This means that there are equal chances for Apple of success and of not being able to conquer the market.

The fact is that while some have appreciated the features of the new service, others have criticized it for its complicated interface and the way it handles music files, which is not making it simple to use.

The service was also involved in a scandal related to how it paid artists for their music and the whole scandal was solved when Taylor Swift took to Apple and refused to allow her album to be featured in the company's new service.

Well, no matter how many users will continue to use the service, Apple is not concerned. During an interview with London's Evening Standard, the SVP of Apple, Eddy Cue, claimed that the famous company is really relaxed about how many people will immediately switch to the service that requires a subscription payment.

"Ultimately, you never know until it happens. But we’re pleased with the number of people who have tried. Everybody gets fixated on the short term but we’re in this for the long haul," he claimed.
