Apple Music is Available on Android

Android users who would like to discover the new Apple Music service will be happy to find out that this is now a possibility in their cases, as well. The popular company announced that the Apple Music service is currently available on Android phones.

The fact that the service is available to Android users means that Apple has made Apple Music accessible to the biggest percent of smartphone users on the market.

Previously, the service's availability was limited to the iOS platform. However, the service has just been released, so the question that appears in this context is how many Android users will be interested in the Apple Music.

Apple Music Available in Android Market
Without a doubt, this seems to be a good move that Apple is making with the purpose to increase user numbers on its streaming service.

Currently, there are 6.5 million people who pay the subscription to the service, but million others are using its trial version. Of course, Apple is willing to enhance the number of paying users and this move might turn out to be useful on that respect.

Apple has some great competition on this segment of the market. The famous company has to battle Spotify, which has no less than 20 million paying customers. If some of these customers will decide to turn to the Apple Music is something that remains unclear for now.

This is the first time when Apple makes one of its services available to other users, except for iOS. However, it has been claimed that it has not been an easy task to make the new app feel familiar to Android users.

“It’s a full native app, so it will look and feel like an Android app. The menus will look like Android, you know the little hamburger they use on the top.
It’ll definitely feel very much like an Android app,” Eddie Cue, Apple's executive, said. “We wanted customers on Android to naturally be able to use it — what they’ve learned and how they interact is common.
The beta version of Apple Music is available for download. The apps looks quite similar to the one available on iOS, although there are some basic features that are missing from this beta version.

Among the features that are not available for now are included the Music Video and signing up for a family membership within the app. However, these things will most likely be solved once the final version will be released.

Naturally, the only thing that is yet to be discovered is if Apple Music available on both iOS and Android will be able to become a serious competitor to Spotify. To make its service even stronger, Apple has recently announced that it would shut down Beats Music, recommending all its users to move to Apple Music and making their transition as easy as possible.

Some analysis have claimed that Apple is expected to make some impressive releases when it comes to this service, to be able to determine customers to switch to it from Spotify. What it will release is yet to be found out.
