The founder of 4chan Joins Google
It appears that Google has decided to expand its interests, the famous company adding to its team no one else than the founder of 4chan, Chris Poole. According to the latest reports, Poole's role will be to help Google rebuild its social network Google +.

Poole has become well-known for founding 4chan at the age of only 15. Without a doubt, he had gained a lot of experience since then, while his image sharing community has definitely grown to become one of the most popular such services available at the moment.

However, it has also gained a bad reputation for some abusive posts, such as leaked celebrity photos or even personal information, including the infamous post of Sarah Palin's email password. Poole left the company he ran for no less than 11 years, back in January 2015.

On the other hand, Google+ has not been doing that well. Google+ in fact saw itself in the situation of having to struggle to make its presence felt on a market dominated by Facebook and Twitter.

Furthermore, not only that Google+ has failed to become a competitor to Facebook or Twitter, but it also failed to get more success than LinkedIn. Although it is difficult to say that Google+ is completely unsuccessful for Google, the tech giant definitely expected more.

Well, maybe with the help of Poole, Google will see this goal accomplished. At this point, it remains unclear what Poole will be going at Google+, but he is surely expected to revamp the social networking site. Poole confirmed that he will be joying the company's social networking sector, but did not reveal too much about what he will be doing there.

"Today I'm excited to announce that I've joined Google," the founder of 4chan said.
"When meeting with current and former Googlers, I continually find myself drawn to their intelligence, passion, and enthusiasm - as well as a universal desire to share it with others."

Without a doubt, Poole seemed quite excited with the new role he will be taking at Google.

"I can't wait to contribute my own experience from a dozen years of building online communities, and to begin the next chapter of my career at such an incredible company," Poole said in a post shared on Tumblr.

The fact that Poole had joined Google was also confirmed by the tech giant, which claimed that he will be working under Bradley's Horowitz, VP of Google Photos and Streams, team. Well, the fact that Google+ is a totally different company than 4chan is not something surprising.

This is why numerous analysts claimed that it would be very interesting to discover how Poole will perform in the new role and if he will really be a positive contribution to Google+.

Some analysts have already claimed that Poole will really be able to bring Google+ where the tech company expects, given the success of 4chan. This means that maybe some changes will be coming to Google+ in the near future.
