Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro Comes With Some Great New Features

These days, Dell has released a new PC. This new device comes with easy component access and a remote management compatibility.

Customers will be able to buy the new Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro at the price of 579 US dollars. Even if this PC doesn’t come with huge room for internal expansion, customers should know that the device has the ability to blend in any modern workplace.

Its design offers the possibility to be placed in any corner or at the back of a flat-panel display. But, customers should also know that the new Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro comes with an industrial look, which means that it doesn’t have a stylish  design.

Moreover, this new device is a little bit expensive for a Core i5-powered PC. The main attraction at this PC is probably the case, which offers a really good access to the components and it comes with a remote management.

The new Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro comes with a body that measures 7.3 x 7 x 1.4 inches. This means that this PC has approximately the same size as the HP Elite Slice, or the Apple Mac mini. Another great thing about this PC is that it can be installed in many configurations and can sit in several modes.

Customers will be able to put this PC to sit on a tabletop with the help of a vertical stand that costs 19 dollars. So, yes, the new Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro is very versatile and can blend in any room or any desktop. As we mentioned earlier, this PC comes with an industrial look and features a case with a plastic grille that looks like those old PC models.

On the back of the case, customers will find three USB 3.0 slots, an Ethernet jack, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, and the power port. Another important thing to know is that this case comes with a place for an external antenna that supports the included Bluetooth wireless networking and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Customers should know that they will probably have web browsing problems in crowded places if  they don’t install this antenna. Moving forward, the front ports can be found under the power button and hard drive access indicator. Here, the company added two USB 3.1 ports, and headphone and  microphone jacks.

Unfortunately, the new Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro doesn’t come with a USB-C port, which is a huge minus. As we know, all modern devices come with one or two USB-C ports. For less than 1.000 dollars, customers will be able to opt for a configuration that comes with a Core i5-7600T CPU, accompanied by Intel Graphics 630.

We don’t think that this is a really powerful configuration. As we know, the previous model, the Optiplex 9020 Micro, was powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. However, the good thing about this new PC is that it comes with Windows 10 Pro standard. Moreover, customers will be able to downgrade to Windows 7 on the same license.
