Apple Launched a New Generation of iPad and iPad Mini

Apple Launched a New Generation of iPad and iPad Mini
Apple announced yesterday updates for the iPad series. There is a new iPad Mini and a new iPad Air with a 10.5 inch screen. The iPad Air has a slimmer design with a 10.5-inch display and the Apple A12 Bionic face.

iPad mini keeps the same 7.9 inch screen, but gets the same SoC A12. Both Air and Mini are compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil. The iPad mini has a starting price of $399 for the 64GB model, and Air goes from $499.

In addition to increasing the performance due to the A12, the iPad Air has a full-tone True Tone screen with a resolution of 2224×1668. In almost every possible way, it is a direct successor of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro that has been discontinued . It is available in 64 GB or 256 GB storage options and is available in gold, silver and space gray finishes. However, it does not boast a 120 Hz ProMotion refresh rate or a quad speaker array, as is the case with the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.

Apple also sells a smart keyboard for the new iPad Air. Air is located around the middle between the iPad model of $329 and the iPad Pro models from $799 up. It has a home button with Touch ID, a headphone jack and a Lightning one. However, the A12 offers a huge performance boost (which is not enough to rival the A12X model found in iPad Pro), and Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard accessories allow for many productivity-enhancing uses.

Somewhat justifying the title "Air," the 10.5-inch iPad Air is much thinner and lighter than the iPad of $329. It weighs 456 grams and has a thickness of 6.1 millimeters, compared to the entry-level iPad of 469 grams and a thickness of 7.5 millimeters.

The iPad mini has received a necessary boost in terms of specifications. Apple Pencil support is also welcome, but these seem to be the only significant changes. Apple says there will be an iWork update next week that will use Apple Pencil in new ways, such as allowing users to draw an arbitrary animation path for a stylus object.

The new iPad mini is also available in 64GB and 256GB configurations in silver, space gray and gold.

As always, the new iPad models are available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + data SKUs. The full range of the iPad is now made up of 11 inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pro, iPad Air (10.5 inch), iPad (9.7 inch) and iPad mini (7.9 inch). The iPad Pro 10.5 inch and iPad mini 4 are no longer available with this launch.

To get a better glance at what is new with the new generation of iPads vs the old iPads we compiled a small table for you to emphasize the updates.
