The First Intel Ice Lake Processors Could Launch This Summer

The First Intel Ice Lake CPUs Could Launch This Summer

Intel promised last year that by December 2019 it will have devices on the market that will use processors built on the 10 nm processors. And a recent leak, which goes on the Internet and continues to be unconfirmed at the moment, suggests it will happen sooner than I thought.

The leaks come from Lenovo and are detailing the series of laptops the company is going to launch this year, besides MWC 2019. Among them are the X1 Yoga G4 and X1 Carbon G7, which I use processors from the Ice Lake series.

No details have been published in the tables, like the one below, about what features such a processor will have. So there is not yet information about the frequencies, the number of cores, the TDP, or, in general, all the important things.

In general, portable platform processors tend to be the first to be launched, so it would not be impossible for the 10nm Ice Lake to arrive on the laptop market. June is going to coincide with Computex, an event where Intel will surely have something to announce about its new processors. Probably at the same time we will also have an announcement from AMD about Ryzen 3000.
